Highlights for ChatGPT
A Chrome and Firefox extension for highlighting parts of ChatGPT answers. Add notes and tags and find them later. It looks like part of ChatGPT.

A highlighter for ChatGPT. Select text in an answer and pick a color. Add a note or a tag if you want. Everything shows up later in a Highlights panel inside ChatGPT.
I wanted it to feel like a real ChatGPT feature. The button sits right next to Ask ChatGPT and the UI only uses ChatGPT's own design tokens. Highlights are drawn with the CSS Custom Highlight API instead of wrapping text in spans. So the extension never touches ChatGPT's markup and nothing breaks when a message re-renders.
Everything stays in your browser. There's no server. It's not on the extension stores yet so for now you build it from the source on GitHub.
